Post 6 - Describing a gadget

Technology and Gadgets
The word technology refers, in its material sense, to every object that has been created for the proposed of turning easier the adaptation of the human being in the environment. Technology is completely bound to the cultural development and it has been evolving during the all human history, until nowadays, when we perceive the word technology associated to digital objects invented in the past decades, such as cellphones, computers, TV’s, and other modern advices that have facilitated the life of society, better known as gadgets. Gadgets are, in simple words, small technological objects that work as machines, have a special function and are often though as novelty. The most popular objects in XXI century of this type are cellphones, this devices have presented a significant rise in its possession since the beginning of century, when it passed from just a few members of society could have access to cellphones to a time when almost everyone has at least one. Cellphones started being as small machines that allowed a better connection between people, with the possibility of calling and texting wherever you are, however, nowadays, with the widespread of internet and advance technology, cellphones have amplified their functions, including stuff like social networks and apps that expand the universe of interaction with this machines, so cellphones are no longer devices just for communication. They work as multifunction pocket machines.
Nevertheless, there’s an actual problem in considering cellphones as gadgets, this because they may not being consider as novelty since all people is use to them. But this could be refute, considering the fact every year are presented new models of cellphones with new functions, for example, 2017 innovation was IPhone X, with features like all-screen design and facial recognition.
Gadgets supposed an advantage for humanity, since it simplifies and make easier our life than they were 50 years ago; however, their massive production is causing several consequences in the environment, especially because of the rubbish. This kind of objects are made for having a short life and that way foment the consumerism and the economy, but what about all the devices that people get rid of? They are made of material potentially dangerous for ecosystem and they are just throw to the garbage, there is no conscience about recycle this devices.
For concluding, we can say gadgets are an important part of the modern life, but they involve several issues as well. Also, gadget sometimes make so easier our life that people stop focusing in the important things, we are just too concerned about superficial things like social networks that we put aside the “real life”. We have almost all the knowledge of the world in our hands but we just don’t take advantage of it.

My favourite concert

It's so hard to chose a favorite concert because every concert I attended was amazing, but I think the most special for me was the concert of Florence and the machine in Lollapalooza 2016, it was amazing because I wanted to see Florence since a long time ago, I was a huge fan of her and I had the lucky of being close of the stage, I almost cried when i saw her so close of me. The best part was I didn´t knew I was going until the same day of the concert, I was not going because I did not have money for a ticket, lollapalooza is too expensive and I accepted I would have to watch it from my computer. I was pretty sad, but then a miracle came from the sky and a classmate told me I was selling two tickets for less than the original price, I did not think it twice and I bought them. I swear I sang every song in the concert, and not just from Florence but also from Alabama Shakes and Noel Gallagher, it was one of the best days I've had.

My future job

I don’ like to talk about my future job because I recently started my career and I’m still learning all the things I can do and the topics I can treat. In difference with other people I don’t know yet what things an anthropologist does, I know in which places they work it’s just that I’m not sure about what they do exactly, but I’m not worry about it and I’ll think about my work when I be finishing the career, in a long time from now. Ok so have said that, I’m gonna talk about a utopian job, which is: being a videogames youtuber. It´s the perfect job ever. I mean youtubers –the successful ones- earn  money thanks to their videos, there are some who get games and consoles for free because the brands give it to them for promotion. It has the bad side too, because It´s not a stable job and actually people don´t consider it as a job so I wouldn´t be recognize as a real worker and I also wouldn't have a stable salary, but is definitely better than waking up every morning at 6 am and go ...
